Best purchase in a long time
This is one of the smartest purchases we've ever made. My husband and I are always busy and trying to get dinner fixed at a reasonable hour can be difficult. We use it as a pressure cooker and it cooks a roast in 38 minutes. As a slow cooker, it cooks evenly and we really love it. The inner pot is made of metal, instead of a ceramic pot, and it's thinner, so it's not as heavy. It's much easier to clean and it will last longer. Our previous crock pots had ceramic liners and they've cracked and/or chipped.

Not your Granny's pressure cooker
I was always afraid of those archaic stove top pressure cookers - This is not one of those. This multi-cooker has lived up to all the hype! I absolutely love it. I can make a pot roast in about an hour and it is melt in your mouth tender. While the Express Cooker looks a little intimidating, it is actually really easy to use. It combines the functions of a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, cake maker, yogurt maker, saute/searing, steamer, warmer and sterilizer all in one unit. It has complete custom programming for pressure and non-pressure cooking. I would recommend reading through the instructions just for safety. The good: The saute feature is genius. It allows you to sear or semi cook something prior to pressure cooking. I've found that if I don't brown/pre-cook what I'm making, the meat doesn't have much flavor. So if I'm making stew, I use the saute feature to brown the meat in some seasoning and let it cook for 5 or 6 minutes before adding water and turning on the pressure. I've read reviews from people who use it to cook frozen meat - I can't imagine that would be very flavorful. The pre-programmed buttons are great when you have no idea how long to cook something. The Bad: You need to purchase an extra seal because with repeated use, the seal absorbs the smell of the food. So if you plan on using your pot to make sweet and savory (yes this makes an excellent cheese cake) you'll need 2 different seals. The Ugly NOTHING

Hands down best kitchen appliance I have ever bought.
Possibly the best purchase I have made all year. I did a lot of research between this and the Instant Pot brand. The deal available on this was too good to pass up though. I love that this has a non stick pan to simplify clean-up. The one thing that I was hesitant about was that this did not have a manual setting like the Instant Pot did. The majority of recipes I have found for this call for using the manual setting. I researched on the Crockpot website though and their recommendation was to use the "Beans/Chili" setting in place of manual since it will allow you to select high or low pressure and set a custom time. I have used this for all the manual setting recipes I have made and it has worked flawlessly. I was hesitant to go with any of the off brands that I found for this device, but I felt confident going with the Crockpot brand as they have a long standing history and great reputation in the slow cooking world. I am excited to watch them grow this product line.

I was skeptical but this pot is so great. A roast in 1 hour
I was skeptical but this pot is so great . A roast in 1 hour , chicken for soup in 35 mins. All the meat so far tastes like it was slow cooked for hours. I’m so glad I got this now time to get rid of my old steamer and a few old crock pots. I was very lucky I got mine for 67.00 .

Love this! At first I was thinking about returning ...
Love this! At first I was thinking about returning because it wasn’t the actual brand name “Instant Pot” but I started using it and it does every thing an Instant Pot says it does. Food is done in a fraction of the time it normally takes. I love there is a crockpot option as well and a temp setting. It’s easy to clean. If you're on the edge of trying to decide between this one or the more expensive cooker go with this one!

My fave!!!!! Ditch the instAnt pot!!
I’ve had the instant pot and could never get food to cook quickly enough. I’ve also had an off brand that I liked but it died. So I tried this one...and it’s my fave so far. Cooks fast - love love love it.

No pressure Pressure Cooking!!
Crock-Pot Express Crock Programmable Multi-Cooker, Stainless Steel (SCCPPC600-V1) I've had a 6qt stovetop pc that I've only used twice in nearly 20 years for fear of explosions. Since buying the Crock-Pot Express I've been using it 3-4 times a week! When I raved about it at work someone asked me if I'd slow cooked in it yet. My reply was,"Why slow cook when you can pressure cook in a quarter of the time!" I've yet to try any of the recipes in the small booklet, I'm too busy experimenting with my own dishes. I've browned chicken and added Progresso Clam Chowder to pressure cook it. I've even made barbecue chicken using homemade bbq sauce. Bean Chilli and Rice came out perfect. The only thing I'm waiting for is some of the accessories like the Instant Pot has. Then I'll have the perfect kitchen appliance.

A versatile appliance I use most every day
I ordered the 4-quart version before the 8-quart version, which I really wanted, became available, so I thought I would do a compare and contrast review. In a nutshell, literally the only difference is the size. Both versions have the exact same functionality, and heat up in pretty much the same time. See the attached pictures. The 4-quart fits three large potatoes whereas the 8-quart fits 8 potatoes. Its increased diameter allows to fit more potatoes per layer. I'm taking the 4-quart to work for lunches, and using the 8-quart for cooking for my family of four. First, the main bad thing about this cooker is the bobber valve is really difficult to see if it is under pressure or not. See the attached pictures compared to my pressure canner. Also, no cute jingles when closing the lid like a certain other brand, but that's no big deal. The best thing about this cooker is its versatility. I have made baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, a pot roast, and pork ribs so far. All have turned out excellent, in a good amount of time even when I'm tired after work. I like how the pressure options are all on one side and the non-pressure options on the other. The non-pressure options aren't as quick as using a regular pan, but it isn't terrible either, and can save from dirtying extra dishes. In summary, this is a versatile appliance that I use most every day. I highly recommend it.

Should have bought one sooner
Absolute game changer. I don’t know why I didn’t buy one sooner. You can do it all in just one pot, and it’s so easy to clean. I have more time to do other things rather than stand over the stove. I’ve already used it 3 times in less than a week. And crock pot brand is always the best in my opinion.
